Continuing its tradition of hosting unique cultural activities where Bhartiya City previously had played host to renowned artists Slayer, Santana and Guns n Roses, on 28 February 2015, Bhartiya City played host to Emerge Music & Art festival.
Emerge is a platform that brings fresh music and art ideas for hungry fans of new experiences. It opens minds, shakes up the soul, and unlocks creativity and the power of new within you. It’s all fun and mostly madness. The one-day festival in Bhartiya City featured top class international music and live size art installations by Indian contemporary artistes. Award winning performances by Grammy nominated Alt- J, BRIT Award Winners Rudimental (DJ set) and virtuoso hang-drum player Daniel Waples featuring The Petebox and fantastic home-grown talent Parvaaz was also part of the festival. Besides one of the India’s best portal for new art and design namely Cupick, also co-curated the art at the festival this year.
Commenting on the festival, Mr. G Raghavan, CEO Bhartiya City said “We are extremely excited to host Emerge at the Bhartiya City, this is in keeping with our intention of creating a vibrant smart city where people live, work, play and have fun. Emerge, like the many events we have had in Bhartiya City, bring a high energy performance by best among the emerging artists from across the globe. We are pleased to have the opportunity to bring this not only to potential residents of Bhartiya City but also for Bengaluru city as a whole”. At Bhartiya City, we believe equally in building category-defying well designed homes for people as well as creating a city with outdoor public realms that encourage a lifestyle that is active, fulfilling and fun.
