Bhartiya supports OGQ for Mission Tokyo 2020 and beyond.

Bhartiya is happy to extend and announce its support to OGQ. Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) is a program of the Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games, a Not for Profit (Section 25) Company, which is committed to bridging the gap between the best athletes in India and the best athletes in the world thus helping Indian athletes to win Olympic Gold medals. OGQ aims to create a level playing field for our athletes to enable them to be competitive at the highest level of sport.

Their mission is to to scout for potential medal talent, to help identify areas of support, to work with all stakeholders to aid deserving talent. This mission of theirs coincides with one of our ambitions at Bhartiya City. As you know that we are building a school within Bhartiya city that will create the leaders of tomorrow. Leaders from every sphere of life and profession; and definitely sports is one of them. We intend to offer world class sports facilities and encourage talented children at a young age to pursue their passion. World class athletes need world class coaching not only at the top of the spectrum but also at junior level. If we need to create Olympic medalists, we need to start at a very young age. We all know that India has an abundance of talent and it needs guidance and professional support to convert to finest sports persons of the world. And we at Bhartiya are committed to contribute.

Founded by Indian sporting legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone, OGQ’s first test was the London 2012 Olympics. 4 out of the 6 Indian medalists were supported by OGQ.
